Introduction

The Nameless King is widely considered the hardest boss in Dark Souls 3. With two distinct phases and punishing combos, he demands patience and precision. This guide breaks down every move and gives you the tools to claim victory.

Phase 1: The King of the Storm

The first phase is a mounted battle against the King of the Storm. Focus on the dragon's head—locking on is recommended. Key attacks to watch:

• Fire Breath: The dragon breathes a wide arc of fire. Sprint sideways to avoid; don't roll backward.
• Lightning Thrust: The King lunges with a lightning-infused spear. Roll to the side or behind the dragon.
